After the death of his wife, Dan Conner is left alone with two children. The offspring constantly find themselves in various comical situations that only add to the family's problems. The Conners are an ordinary family that lives in Illinois. They can barely make ends meet, but they try to stick together, no matter how hard it is for them. And a terrible tragedy, Roseanne's death, has only brought the Conners even closer together. But whether Dan will be able to give all the attention and love to his family, as his late wife did, is unknown.
