When a person lives in a big city, he rarely intersects with his friends, which is not true of small cities. Here almost all the population is connected to each other. The main characters are local residents of a small town. Contrary to their own wishes, they are forced to face people on a daily basis who may not be their acquaintances. Because of random encounters, they remember the faces of strangers. When they meet again, they recognize them, but they leave without knowing their names.
