The series is set in New York City. Businessman Michael J. Roscoe falls prey to a cunning hitman who kills a millionaire in an elevator shaft using special innovative technology. Before his death, Michael was to meet Alan Blunt in England. Alex receives from his uncle--also an intelligence agent--Ian the phone of a friend, Tom. Ian Ryder and his nephew Alex work to investigate the deaths of two men who share a single detail in common: the children of the deceased attended Point Blanc High School.
